Bishkek, July 11, 2021 . / Kabar / . The Kyrgyz Republic received 1 million 250 thousand doses of Sinopharm vaccine from China.
The batch of the Chinese vaccine was delivered on a special flight.
Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov expressed gratitude to the People's Republic of China for its support and assistance, the press service of the cabinet of Minister reported Sunday.
1 million 100 thousand doses of vaccine were bought at the expense of the republican budget of the republic and 150 thousand doses were donated by China.
"President of Kyrgyzstan, the Cabinet of Ministers are grateful to Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang, as well as Ambassador of China Du Dewen for the assistance provided to Kyrgyzstan in promptly resolving issues on acquisition of vaccines, as well as for providing vaccines as humanitarian aid," he said.
Chairman Maripov noted that 1 million 250 thousand additional doses of the Chinese vaccine will arrive at the end of July.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers urged Kyrgyzstanis to take an active part in the vaccination campaign.
Ambassador of China to Kyrgyzstan Du Dewen expressed hope that the arrival of vaccines in the country and increasing the pace of vaccination will improve the epidemiological situation in the country and protect the health of citizens.
