Bishkek, April 27, 2021 . / Kabar / . In the last 24 hours, 1,819 more people received vaccination against COVID-19 coronavirus infections in Kyrgyzstan. As of today, 18,474 citizens have been vaccinated, and 460 of them got the second dose, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development of Kyrgyzstan Uluk-Bek Bekturganov said at a briefing on Tuesday.
Kyrgyzstan has started vaccination campaign against COVID-19 on March 29 after receiving 150 thousand doses of the Sinopharm vaccine from the Chinese manufacturer Beijing Institute of Biological Product Co. Ltd on March 19. The vaccination is carried out twice, with an interval of 25-28 days. No side effects have been reported after immunization with this vaccine.
On April 22, the country received the first batch of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in the amount of 20,000 doses.
