10 thsd doses of AstraZeneca vaccine allocated to Kyrgyz capital

Bishkek has been allocated 10 thousand doses of vaccine developed by the Swedish-British pharmaceutical manufacturer in cooperation with Oxford University "AstraZeneca", Burul Asylbekova, the head of the Immunoprophylaxis Center of the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance (SESES) of Bishkek said at a briefing.

The vaccine will be administered to all persons over 18 years of age.

"The interval between the first and second doses should be 4-12 weeks," the specialist added.

On July 16, Kyrgyzstan received 40 thousand doses of AstraZeneca vaccine as a humanitarian aid from Azerbaijan.
