Bishkek, Feb. 22, 2022. / Kabar /. 10 thousand 151 cases of domestic violence were registered in Kyrgyzstan in the electronic journal of the internal affairs bodies during 12 months of 2021, the press service of the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
According to data of the ministry, temporary protection orders were issued to 9038 (8577 – in 2020) victims of domestic violence, including:
- 311 (363 – in 2020) affected men;
- 8 thousand 463 (7891 – in 2020) women;
- 264 minors (323 – in 2020).
Warrants were also issued against perpetrators of domestic violence, including 8,599 or (95.2%) men and 439 women (4.8%).
The most of the temporary protection orders were issued in Bishkek – 3518.
