Bishkek, Dec. 13, 2022 / Kabar/. 103 cases of violence and abuse against children have been registered in Bishkek since the beginning of the year, Vice Mayor of Bishkek Victoria Mozgacheva told during a press conference at Kabar Agency.
She said that violence often occurs in dysfunctional families or against children of migrants.
“In such cases, we draw up an individual plan for working with the family, and if necessary, the child is removed. However, in most cases, we try to make every effort to get families out of a difficult life situation, we provide social and psychological assistance,” Mozgacheva said.
The vice mayor also noted that the most cases of violence against children are recorded in new residential areas of the capital.
