10th meeting of Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council results in signing protocol

Bishkek, April 29, 2022. / Kabar /. The 10th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Kazakh Intergovernmental Council, held in Bishkek, is resulted in signing the relevant Protocol, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

Thus, according to the signed document, the sides discussed in detail the organization and conduct of the upcoming official visit of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to the Kyrgyz Republic on May 26, 2022.

The sides stressed the importance of further expanding trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, including through the implementation of mutually beneficial projects and the creation of joint ventures.

The Intergovernmental Council instructed the authorized bodies of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Kazakhstan to intensify investment cooperation by forming a register of promising investment projects in priority sectors of the economy.

Under the project for the construction of an industrial trade and logistics complex (ITLC) in the area of ​​the Ak-Tilek (Kyrgyz Republic) and Karasu (Kazakhstan) road checkpoints, the sides agreed to study the issue of signing a memorandum and consider the possibility of creating joint ventures in this territory, and also in the territory of free economic zones of the parties.

Within the framework of cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies and communications, the sides agreed to consider the possibility of exchanging experience and implementing projects in the field of information technology, communications, e-government, as well as training and advanced training of IT specialists.

An agreement was also reached to hold the next 11th meeting of the Council in 2023 on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
