Bishkek, Apr. 17, 2020. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, another 12 medical workers have been infected with COVID-19 coronavirus infection, Deputy Minister of Health Nurbolot Usenbayev told at a news briefing.
7 of them are in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek, 4 are in Osh Oblast (Nookat region- 3, Uzgen region - 1) and 1 is in Osh city.
"Their infection factor is different. Contact with patients, when they worked with people who were under medical supervision, these are medical workers who worked in laboratories, among those who had contacted others," he explained.
As of Apr. 17, another 23 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Kyrgyzstan, a total of 489, including 116 cases of infection among medical personnel.
A total of 114 people have recovered and discharged from hospitals.
Novel coronavirus claimed lives of 5 people.
