Bishkek, Apr. 18, 2018. / Kabar /. The Pervomaisky court of Bishkek determined a preventive measure to 15 protesters detained on the incident in Toguz-Toro region of Jalal-Abad oblast. The court remanded in custody 12 people, three women to a written undertaking not to leave the country, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic detained 15 residents of Toguz-Toro region on suspicion of committing crimes and placed in temporary detention facilities.
On Apr. 11, 2018, an interdepartmental commission of more than 30 people was going to conduct explanatory work at the gold-extraction plant of Ji El Makmal Development, located on the territory of the Makmalzoloto. A meeting with local residents was expected, attended by about 1,000 citizens, but before the meeting, the local residents began throwing stones at the commission members and police officers who provided for the protection of public order. Police officers had to ensure the security of members of the interdepartmental commission.
The gathered, mostly young guys, broke into the territory of the gold-extraction plant and set fire on social facilities and the available equipment.
Employees of the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic continue the investigation.
