Bishkek, June 15, 2021 . / Kabar / . In January-March 2021, there were about 12 thousand enterprises in Kyrgyzstan, of which 94% were small businesses.
Meanwhile, almost 60% of the number of operating small businesses worked in Bishkek city, the National Statistics Committee of the republic said.
In January-March 2021, more than 78 thousand people were employed in small and medium-sized enterprises, which is 3% more than in the first quarter of last year.
The volume of industrial production of small and medium enterprises in January-March 2021 amounted to KGS 13.2 billion, which is 18% more than in the corresponding period of last year. In this case, their share in the total volume of industrial production was 18%.
In January-March 2021, small and medium enterprises engaged in agriculture, including peasant (private) farms, produced goods for KGS 15.2 billion or more than half of its total volume in the country.
