Since the beginning of the year, the internal affairs of Kyrgyzstan registered 12 thousand 908 incidents and crimes in the country, the press service of the Ministry reported that this data was said at a meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic on the results of the operational and official activities of the Internal Affairs Departments for the first half of 2017.
In total, 12,209 criminal cases were initiated in the above-mentioned period, 11,452 were discovered. Investigative bodies of the Internal Affairs Departments investigated and sent to the court 9,959 criminal cases.
The main item on the agenda was the operational and service activities of the units of the Interior Ministry of the republic. Besides, the issues of strengthening the fight against religious extremism and terrorism, prevention and detection of crimes committed by minors and the organization of traffic safety in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic were discussed at the meeting.
