121 people injured in border conflict as result of Tajik aggression

Bishkek, Sept. 17, 2022 . / Kabar / . As of 2 p.m. on Sept.17, number of Kyrgyzstanis injured in a border conflict caused by Tajikistan reached 121, the latest data from the Health Ministry of Kyrgyzstan showed.

People mainly have shrapnel and gunshot wounds of various body parts.

Earlier it was reported that 24 Kyrgyzstanis died during an armed attack by Tajikistan.

The clashes on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border started on Sept. 14.

Earlier, the Tajik side attacked border guarding and civilian infrastructure objects of Kyrgyzstan along the perimeter of the state border in Batken Oblast.

Negotiations between the border representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are currently expected.

Meanwhile, Tajikistan started mortar shelling several villages of another, Osh Oblast of Kyrgyzstan.
