126 violations registered during parliamentary elections: Kyrgyz Interior Ministry

Bishkek, Nov. 29, 2021 . / Kabar / . 126 violations were recorded during parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan on Nov. 29, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Two of them are cases of bribery of voters (investigation is underway), one case of using administrative resources, four cases of petty hooliganism, two of them were recorded in Chui Oblast and one case each in Bishkek and Osh cities.

Besides, internal affairs bodies received 36 reports on election day agitation, 38 reports on vote buying, 19 reports on mass transportation of people, 1 report on distribution of false information, 2 reports on use of administrative resources, 1 report on power cut-offs, 1 report on withholding of wages.

The above-mentioned violations are currently under investigation.

The parliamentary elections were held in Kyrgyzstan to elect 90 deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh by using a mixed electoral system. 54 deputies are to be elected according to the proportional system in single electoral constituencies, while 36 deputies are to be elected from single-mandate constituencies on a majority basis.

According to data of the automatically reading ballot, six parties have overcome 5 % barrier - Butun Kyrgyzstan (6.71 %), Alliance (8.12%), Yiman Nuru (5.98 %), Yntymak (10.73 %), Ishenim (13.43 %), Ata-Zhurt Kyrgyzstan (16.83 %).
