Bishkek, Dec.17, 2019./Kabar/. Since the beginning of the year, 13 incidents occurred at the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, spokeswoman of the State Border Service of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulmira Borubayeva said at the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
According to the spokeswoman, one officer of the Border Guard was killed as a result.
Note that yesterday, Dec. 16, in the area of the village of Kok-Tash, Batken Oblast, citizens of Tajikistan began setting up a fence near a conventional boundary of the state border.
As a result, the conflict was resolved.
On Sept. 16 this year, a border incident with the use of weapons occurred at the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border, the Tajik side was the first to use weapons, firing at the Kyrgyz border post Maksat from group weapons, and then the temporary Sai border post in Leilek region of Batken Oblast.
As a result of the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, in total 14 people injured, including one soldier died on the spot.
