13 new COVID-19 cases reported in Kyrgyzstan. 843 in total

Bishkek, May 5, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan announced on Tuesday 13 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number in the country to 843.

Nurbolot Usenbaev, deputy minister of health of Kyrgyzstan said that there have been 232 patients with coronavirus infection in hospitals in the country.

917 people are under medical observation.

Usenbaev said that 8 patients are in serious condition, and 5 are in intensive care.

He said that among the newly infected, one is medical worker.

"In total, 217 cases of coronavirus were registered among medical workers," said Usenbaev.

He also noted that 25 patients with a previously confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 were discharged from hospitals per day.

The deputy minister added that one patient have died last night. “He was 69 years old, and he infected with COVID-19 from his daughter – a doctor, who works in Family Medicine Center,” he said.

In total, 600 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from hospitals throughout the country, including 150 medical workers, and 11 have passed away.
