Bishkek, Sept. 28, 2020. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan public organizations are concerned about mass statements on Form-2 (application form for change of electoral address), when citizens changed their polling stations.
During a press conference at Kabar News Agency, Aida Suiunduyeva, the chairwoman of the board of the Common Cause Public Foundation said that they had attracted permanent and temporary observers from Aug. 24 to Sept. 25. The interim result of the report was presented at the press conference. The report included such areas as the organization of elections, legal analysis of electoral legislation, nomination and registration of candidates, voter information and campaigning, complaints and statements.
Thus, according to Suiunduyeva, in a short period of time, in order to pass the electoral thresholds, some political parties have organized systematic rides of voters, which increases the inequality of opportunities for political parties and undermines confidence in the electoral system.
She noted that according to the latest data from the Central Commission for Elections and Referendum, the number of applications submitted on Form – 2 made up 496,239.
"Compared to previous elections, there was a significant increase. As of today, the total number of applications filed is 14 % of the total number of voters," the chairwoman said.
Suiunduyeva added that they had applied to law enforcement agencies and the Prosecutor General's Office in each oblast of the country with a request to pay attention to the mass filling in of Form - 2.
"We asked for assessment and investigation," added the head of the Foundation and noted that they have applied for consideration of this issue regarding bribing votes and using administrative resources.
Sixteen political parties will run for parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan slated for Oct. 4, 2020.
