153 members of organized crime group detained in Kyrgyzstan since beginning of year

In nine months of 2021, 153 people who were considered members of an organized criminal group (OCG) were detained, senior investigator of the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Azamat Duishenaliyev said during a press conference.

He added that a decrease in the number of crimes committed by OCG members is observed this year.

Duishenaliyev also noted the popularization of romantic criminal attitudes in film.

"Police officers conduct preventive conversations and lectures in educational institutions on the theme of not violating the law and that any violation of the law carries a certain category of punishment," the investigator said.
