162.4 thsd tons of coal exported from Kyrgyzstan in two months

Bishkek, April 18, 2023. /Kabar/. In January-February, 162 thousand 453.7 tons of coal were exported from Kyrgyzstan to neighboring states and European countries. Such data are given in the bulletins of the National Statistical Committee on foreign and mutual trade.

The largest volume of deliveries was made to Uzbekistan - 105 thousand 319.5 tons, or 65%. This is 40% more than in January-March last year.

Imports of Kyrgyz coal also increased China. If in the first two months of last year only 53 tons of solid fuel were supplied from Kyrgyzstan, then in the same period of this year the volume increased by 8 times and amounted to 431.4 tons.

Demand for Kyrgyz coal was still from countries in Europe. 19 thousand 779.3 tons, or 12% of the total volume, were exported to the Netherlands in the specified period. Enterprises from Poland, Romania and Slovakia purchased 10,000 tons each. Hungary imported 6,389.5 tons. Last year, European states did not buy domestic coal.

At the highest price, coal from Kyrgyzstan was bought by Romanian companies - 5,503 soms per 1 ton. Fuel was supplied to Poland at a price of 5409 soms, Hungary - 5245 soms, China - 5231 soms, the Netherlands - 5030 soms, Slovakia - 4754 soms and Uzbekistan - 2636 soms per 1 ton.

The volume of exports of brown coal (lignite) in January-February amounted to 113 thousand 423.6 tons, which is 1.5 times more than in the same period in 2022.
