Bishkek, Jan. 14, 2025. / Kabar /. As part of the pilot project of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, aimed at promoting employment of unemployed youth, 17 interns were employed in organizations after completing an internship, the press service of the ministry reported.
The Youth Internship project was launched in 30 regions of the country. It is aimed at providing young people with practical experience, consolidating professional knowledge and skills, studying best practices, acquiring life skills and expanding employment opportunities.
399 people participated in internship within the framework of the project from November 18 to December 30, 2024.
In terms of professions and specialties, the internships were distributed in the following directions: 25.8% were sent to sewing enterprises, 12.3% to local village councils, 7.5% to veterinary services, 6.3% to educational institutions (teachers and educators), 5.8% to banking institutions, 5.5% to beauty salons, and 4% to healthcare (nurses).
The project also provides financial support for interns. The first 180 participants were paid stipends in the amount of 8,600 soms.
"The Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration continues to support young people, helping them adapt to the labor market, gain professional experience and realize their potential," the report says.
