Bishkek, March 9, 2022 . / Kabar / . During raids and strengthening of supervision over the road traffic, 140,708 different violations of traffic rules were revealed in the republic only for two months of this year.
The press service of the Main Department for Road Safety reported that of these:
- exceeding the speed limit - 18 thousand 305;
- driving without proper documents - 472;
- driving without a driver's license - 1 thousand 638;
- violation of rules of vehicle operation - 57,215;
- driving with a false license plate - 18;
- hooliganism - 24;
- violation of traffic rules by pedestrians - 3,732;
- vehicle conversion - 1,096;
- disobeying traffic signs - 54,109;
- driving with tinted windows - 433;
- driving under the influence of alcohol - 2,285 thousand;
- 8,950 vehicles were impounded.
As a result of the measures taken, it became possible to stabilize and reduce the number of accidents on the roads of the republic. Thus, for two months of this year, the number of accidents decreased by 17.3% compared with the same period last year, number of fatalities by 15.5% and those injured - by 14.1%.
"For safety, all road users must know and comply with the requirements of traffic rules. Remember that order on the road begins with each of us," the report said.
