185 members of organized crime groups detained in Kyrgyzstan this year

Bishkek, Dec. 31, 2021 . / Kabar / . In the first 11 months of this year, 185 members of organized crime groups were detained in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the republic’s Ministry of Internal Affairs said Thursday.

In April 2021, comprehensive measures were intensified throughout the republic to prevent and combat manifestations of organized crime.

Thus, during the first 11 months of 2021, 185 members of organized crime were detained by members of the Interior Ministry and brought to criminal responsibility for various crimes.

The detainees are suspected of committing 155 different crimes, including robbery - 5, robbery - 4, fraud - 61, extortion - 5, hooliganism - 21, theft - 13 and other offenses.

According to the data, 1 thousand 168 people are on the operational records of the Interior Ministry as members of organized criminal groups.

In addition, 15 wanted persons were detained.
