Bishkek, May 11, 2022. /Kabar/. 65% of the target group in Kyrgyzstan has been vaccinated with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccines, but this figure is more than 19% of the total population, Director of the Republican Immunoprophylaxis Center Gulbara Ishenapysova said at a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
She added that the country has a stockpile of vaccines against coronavirus infection.
"Kyrgyzstan received about 6 million doses, of which 3 million doses have been used. Vaccination against COVID-19 continues, and all conditions for this are organized. I urge the population to think about their health and come to the vaccination centers for a dose of coronavirus infection," Ishenapysova added.
The country started the vaccination campaign on March 29, 2021. Kyrgyzstan is inoculating its citizens with Sinopharm, Sputnik-V, Sputnik-Light, Astra Zeneca, Pfizer and Moderna vaccines.
