Bishkek, Jan. 11, 2025. / Kabar /. The Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration reported that today 199 diaspora organizations of Kyrgyzstan live in more than 20 countries of the world.
The largest number of diasporas - 135 - are in the CIS countries:
• in Russia - 124,
• in Kazakhstan - 7,
• in Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Ukraine - one organization each
There are 37 diasporas in European countries, of which seven are in Turkey, 10 in Germany, 9 in Italy, two each in the UK, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Belgium and the Benelux countries, one each in Austria, France, Lithuania, Slovakia and Switzerland.
Another 13 diaspora organizations live in Asian and Eastern countries - in Korea, Japan and Malaysia, in Canada - 5 and the USA - 8.
There is only one diaspora in each of the African countries and Egypt.
The Ministry works with diaspora organizations, including consulting on safe migration, legal and other assistance.
For this purpose, an institution of public representatives was created, who also provide consultative and practical assistance to labor migrants, including representing their interests in police departments, in the courts and in government agencies.
