Kyrgyzstan to participate in 19th meeting of SCO Forum in Tashkent

Bishkek, June 3, 2024. /Kabar/. On June 5, Tashkent (Uzbekistan) will host the 19th meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) forum on the topic: “The role of the SCO in new conditions: joining forces in the name of universal security, stability and prosperity.”

The leadership of the SCO Secretariat and the SCO RATS Executive Committee, more than 40 experts from 10 countries, including a delegation of national research centers of the SCO member countries, specialists from observer states and SCO dialogue partners will take part in its work.

Kyrgyzstan is represented by a delegation led by Director of the National Institute of Strategic Initiatives under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sanzhar Mukanbetov.

The agenda of the event includes a discussion of the following three main sessions dedicated to priority areas of cooperation within the SCO, increasing the effectiveness of the SCO at the current stage of development, and further prospects for improving the activities of the SCO forum.

Following the results of the forum, it is planned to sign a Protocol of the meeting, which will reflect the approaches and vision of the SCO member states on the issues on the agenda of the event.
