Bishkek, Dec.4, 2024. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Maldybaev will host on Dec.11-15 the 1st Uluu-Eles International Competition of Ballet Dancers, head of the literary and dramaturgical part of the theater Elena Myagkova told Kabar News Agency.
She noted that the event is dedicated to the 90th anniversary of outstanding Kyrgyz dancer and ballet master, People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, winner of the State Prize of the USSR, Professor Uran Sarbagyshev.
“The competition is aimed at developing and popularizing ballet art, identifying and supporting talented performers, raising the level of professional skills of ballet dancers, as well as strengthening international cultural ties in the field of ballet art”, Myagkova said.
Ballet dancers, students of professional choreographic educational institutions, choreographers-directors will take part in the upcoming International Competition.
The contestants will present variations and duets from the works of world ballet classics, contemporary choreography.
