2,000 cases of influenza registered in Kyrgyzstan per day

Bishkek, Dec. 14, 2022 / Kabar/. 2,000 cases of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza were registered in Kyrgyzstan per day.

The press service of the Ministry of Health said that according to weekly monitoring of the incidence of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections in the 49th week of the current year (05.12-11.12.22), 14078 cases of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza (ARVI-13993, influenza-85) were registered in the republic and compared with the previous week (9324 cases), there is an increase in the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza by 1.5 times.

It is noted that of all cases, 68.7% are children under 14 years of age (9,669 cases).

As of December 14, 9,788 cases of acute respiratory viral infections and 21 cases of influenza were registered, which is 1.3 times higher than the number for the previous day (as of December 13, ARVI 7774 and influenza 1).

“Cases of acute respiratory viral infections can be provoked by unstable weather (sharp cooling), which leads to a decrease in the body's defenses and contributes to an increase in the incidence. At the same time, adults with acute respiratory viral infections are more likely to carry the disease on their feet and, if sanitary and hygienic measures are not followed, infect their children and family members.
