Bishkek, Nov. 1, 2018. /Kabar/. Currently, a school feeding program has been introduced in 1 thousand 146 schools of the republic. This program is being implemented with the support of the UN World Food Program and provides hot meals to primary school students.
Over two years, almost 5 thousand school workers and more than 15 thousand students have been trained in the principles of healthy nutrition within the framework of the program,.
The necessary repair and restoration work has been carried out and food service units have been equipped in schools that participate in the program.
At the same time, today cafeterias or canteens are operating in all 2 thousand 262 schools. 65% of schools in the country have their own farms and gardens.
