2 thsd people to take part in half marathon “ONE RUN-2024”

Bishkek, May 16, 2024. /Kabar/. The half marathon “ONE RUN-2024” will be held in Bishkek on Sunday May 19.

According to the Bishkek Mayor’s Office, the half marathon will bring together about 2 thousand athletes and lovers of a healthy lifestyle. They will take part in the following distances: 21.1 km, 10 km, 5 km. Also, for the youngest participants there will be a children's race - 1 km.

The purpose of the sporting event is to introduce as many people as possible to an active and healthy lifestyle and to promote sports among the population, the report said.

It is noted that the half marathon is also simultaneously planned in Egypt, Brazil, Cameroon, Qatar, China, Bahrain, UAE, Serbia, Turkey, 89 regions of Russia, Belarus, Tajikistan, China, Uzbekistan and other countries.

The organizers of the event are the Department of Physical Culture and Sports, Tourism and Youth Work of the BishkekMayor’s Office, the Directorate of the international marathon “Run the Silk Road”, the Athletics Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the organizer of public sports events “League of Heroes”.
