Bishkek, Jan.22, 2025. /Kabar/. In 2024, 2 million 575.9 thousand heads of livestock were registered in the information system of identification and tracking of animals of Kyrgyzstan.
The Ministry of Agriculture reported that figures include:
- cattle - 2,070.4 thousand.
- horses - 503.0 thousand
- pigs - 2.5 thousand.
Last year, during the identification of livestock across the country, 753.7 thousand cattle were identified and registered in the information system. Including:
- cattle - 712.5 thousand.
- horses - 32.6 thousand
- pigs - 8.6 thousand.
As for identification of animals with assignment of group identification number, 147 poultry houses were identified and included in the information system in 126 poultry farms, in 1410 beekeeping farms - 107.6 thousand hives, in 203 farms - 8767 ponds.
In 2023, the order of veterinary service was issued to carry out activities on identification of sheep and goats throughout the country, Aravan, Kemin, Tyup were defined as pilot regions. To date, 134.5 thousand heads of sheep and goats have been identified in these regions.
