Bishkek, March 20, 2023. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan-UAE business forum is being held today in Bishkek, the press service of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
It is attended by 20 leading companies of the United Arab Emirates, which are ready to establish cooperation in such areas as healthcare, tourism, construction, export-import of goods and food, cosmetics, electrical appliances, as well as in the hotel business, in the introduction of the latest engineering and technological solutions and other industries.
During the meeting, discussions were held on logistics and banking operations between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE and a visit to domestic enterprises was carried out.
The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Sariev noted that this is the fourth forum in the last two years, which is held between the business circles of the two countries, which indicates mutual interest, prospects and opportunities, and should become a good tradition in the future.
“Different committees will operate under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, including the Committee for the Protection and Promotion of Investments. I would like to address the Emirates companies - we are working to develop the economy of Kyrgyzstan, to develop international relations, to protect the rights of investors,” Sariev emphasized.
The trade turnover between the Kyrgyz Republic and the UAE in 2022 amounted to USD 125 million, which is 80% more than a year earlier. Exports from the Kyrgyz Republic to the UAE last year amounted to USD 101 million, which is 84% more than in 2021. Imports of products from the UAE to the Kyrgyz Republic in 2022 amounted to USD 25 million, or 66% more than the year before.
The forum was organized by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan and Dubai with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
