This year, the leadership of Kyrgyzstan faces even greater goals and objectives. Over the past two years, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov has done tremendous work. Initiatives for the development of regions, the digitalization of the country began to bring first positive results.
Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev at a meeting with heads of state bodies said that 2020 will be a year of great plans and tasks in the social sphere.
“We start the year with reserves and creating a good reserve for the future. All socially significant payments for the past year are fully realized. Repair of emergency and construction of new social facilities is actively ongoing. Today, the amount of balances is KGS 7.7 billion. We use them as additional reserves, along with current budget revenues, to finance all priority programs and projects planned for 2020. This is, first of all, a whole range of measures aimed at the development of regions. This year we expect more revenue, which will allow us to make other payments that we have outlined for the current year. Indeed, this year we must not only ensure stable financing of increased salaries for teachers, but also achieve an increase in the size of pensions and other social benefits,” the prime minister noted.
The Head of Government noted that by the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic 2020 is dedicated to the issues of supporting children.
“The Ministry of Health has been instructed to improve the quality of medical care. In 2019, by a decision of the Government, for a certain category of patients, hemodialysis services became free. This year, it is necessary to strengthen work to improve the e-health, especially in matters of regulating drug prices. It is necessary to build a perinatal center. The Ministry of Education and Science should pay attention to improving the quality of education and the development of science, taking into account the challenges of the time and the requirements of the economy. We should move away from the Soviet, conservative screen-printing and inefficient system,” said Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev.
The prime minister noted that over the past 2 years, more than 200 schools and kindergartens have been built in the republic. According to him, it is necessary to strengthen work on the implementation of projects in the framework of public-private partnership in the field of preschool education.
Tatyana Telezhkina, literary critic and head teacher of the secondary school named after Kainazarova, noted: “Education is a strategic industry and government policy should be aimed at providing all the essentials - introduce new educational programs for children, conduct seminars and continuing education courses on a regular basis. We are faced with a difficult but important task during digital transformations to keep up with this very time, which dictates new challenges. Good conditions are created for children. The main thing is that there is a desire to educate every child in Kyrgyzstan. And this is what will ensure the future of our country.”
It should be noted that great results have been achieved in the field of education: teachers’ salaries were raised for first time after a long time, the migration of students stopped thanks to the introduction of an electronic enrollment project in schools.
Methodologist, literary critic Galina Batutina says: “Active activity has begun everywhere in many areas of the life of the republic. We are committed to developing and raising the level of secondary and higher education in our country. Thanks to the opened prospects related to digitalization, we are able to develop fundamentally new types of programs and methods that will help our pupils, students to reach the highest level and show their talents. ”
In addition to all this, according to Muhammedkalyi Abylgaziev, the government will continue to increase the amount of allocated funds to finance the construction of new schools and social facilities throughout the republic, reduce the number of emergency schools and implement a number of development measures of regions.
He also noted that this year it is necessary to continue work on documenting children who do not have birth certificates, as well as to work out issues of ensuring appropriate social payments.
Recall that President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov will continue the strategic course of development of the state in 2020. The President of the country has identified another priority area, which will be the full support of children. Children are the future of any state. This is the pillar of the future of the country. Therefore, the fact that President Jeenbekov added this paragraph to the existing ones speaks of his farsightedness and sincere concern about the state of affairs.
“I must admit that the head of the Kyrgyz state acts very consistently. It does not leave the foundations of a priority strategic course, such as regional development and digitalization of the country. At the same time, 2020 will be devoted to the problems of children, their protection and involvement in the active phase of the state’s life. It is important to create a set of measures that will bring effective support for solving the goals. Particular attention should be paid to the upbringing of the younger generation, its involvement in globalization and various civilized processes. Attention should continue to be paid to raising the level of education among children,” said Yuri Obidin, sociologist and expert at the Center for Political Systems and Social Research.

“This year will mark the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. All events must be held at a high level. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to relevant activities, including issues of payments to veterans, the implementation of relevant activities, social tasks. Over the past 2 years, the wages of social workers in 13 categories have been increased. In addition, the Olympic Games will be held this year, and it is important for government agencies to provide appropriate support for athletes,” said Mukhammedkalyi Abylgaziev.
The Head of Government noted the importance of high-quality and wide-ranging informing the population about the ongoing work of state bodies.
“2020 is a year of great plans and tasks. The fate of the country and the future of our citizens depends a lot on each of you. This fact doubles responsibility. Carrying out reforms is always a complex process that is ambiguously perceived in society. But this is the only path leading to prosperity and well-being. In this matter, we should be grateful to citizens for understanding the Government’s policy of changes and reforms. We are facing great tasks and new challenges. I am sure that we will achieve all our goals through responsible creative work,” concluded the prime minister.
The bar is raised at a high mark, but now it is impossible to lower it. The President, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic are aware of this and set new goals that will be realized in the coming year.
