2020 Lausanne: Results of Kyrgyz athletes at Youth Olympic Games

Bishkek, Jan.22, 2020 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz athletes completed their performance at the III Winter Olympic Games. The athletes' results have been published.

The Games were held in Lausanne, Switzerland, where the country was represented by Elena Bondarets and Islam Turganbayev.

On the last competition day, Bondarets took 76th place in the 5 km classical style ski race. Her time was 24 minutes 40.4 seconds, 10 minutes 24.7 seconds behind Swedish Olympic champion Maerta Rosenberg.

Among young men in 10km cross-country skiing, Turganbayev's classic style is 78th. His result is 42 minutes 0.1 seconds (+15:19.60). Russia’s Ilya Tregubov became the first to overcome this distance.

The 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games, officially known as the III Winter Youth Olympic Games, and commonly known as Lausanne 2020 is the third edition of the Winter Youth Olympics; a major international multi-sport event and cultural festival for teenagers to be held in Lausanne, Switzerland, the home of the International Olympic Committee, on Jan. 9-22, 2020.
