2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers. Kyrgyzstan defeates Maldives

Bishkek, April 12, 2022. / Kabar /. The Kyrgyz national futsal team defeated the Maldives in the qualifying round of the Asian Cup, the Futsal Association of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The game ended with a score of 7-1 in favor of Kyrgyzstan.

2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers of Groups A and B are taking place in Bishkek.

Thus, the national teams of Turkmenistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan and the Maldives are included in Group A. Two teams, which took 1-2 places in the group, will reach the finals of the tournament.

In the first round, Kyrgyzstan's national team lost to Turkmenistan with 1:3. Iran defeated Maldives with a score of 17:0. In the second match of Group A, Iran defeated Turkmenistan with 3:0.

Thus, Iran is leading the group with 6 points, followed by Turkmenistan (3 points), Kyrgyzstan (3 points) and Maldives (0).

In the last round, Kyrgyzstan will face Iran and Turkmenistan will play against Maldives.

The Kyrgyz capital is also hosting matches of Group B of the Uzbek, Tajik, Afghan and Nepalese national teams. Uzbekistan is leading with 6 points, followed by Tajikistan (4 points), Afghanistan (1) and Nepal (0).

16 national teams will meet at the 2022 Asian Cup finals to be held Sept. 25-Oct. 20 in Kuwait.
