Tashkent, Dec. 21, 2021 . / Kabar / . Tashkent will host 2022 Asian Karate Championships in all age categories. The decision was made at a conference of the Asian Karate Federation, held in Almaty, Uzbekistan's NOC press service said.
Previous candidates failed to host the event because of the epidemiological situation in their respective countries.
According to the original plan, the continental championship should precede the Asian Games. This, in turn, serves as a kind of preparation before important starts for karate athletes.
The Uzbek capital city of Tashkent hosted the Asian Senior Championships in July 2019.
