Bishkek, April 25, 2022 / Kabar /. The 2022 World Journalists Conference has started on Monday in Seoul, the Republic of Korea.
The two-day conference, hosted by the Journalists Association of Korea, will be held online and offline on April 25 - 26.

The 2022 World Journalists Conference was opened by a welcoming speech by Kim Dong Hoon, President of the Journalists Association of Korea and Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum, who congratulated on holding the 10th World Journalists Conference and wished success the participants.

About 70 journalists from more than 50 countries participate in the conference. Two journalists of Kyrgyz media are are also taking part in it.
The first day has started under the theme of "Current Status of Fact-Checking by Global Journalism and the Operation of Media Self-regulatory Organization", where the journalists discuss and share different experiences and points of view on fact-checking.
On the second day of event, multiple conferences will be held under the theme "Society Changed by the Journalism".
The Journalists Association of Korea was established in 1964 and is celebrating its 58th anniversary this year. It is Korea’s largest association of journalists, with about 11,000 members from 199 media companies participating in its activities.
