Bishkek, Sept. 10, 2020 /Kabar/. Adinai Myrzabekova, a student of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after Akhunbayev, has been posthumously awarded an “Alma Mater” certificate of honor for her work in combating coronavirus, the Academy's press service said Thursday.
The awarding became known at the ceremony of awarding prizes and awards to teachers, employees, residents and students of the Kyrgyz Medical Academy, who took part in the treatment of patients with COVID-19.
Adinai Myrzabekova, 5th year student of the Faculty of Medicine, worked as a volunteer in a temporary hospital organized at the Discovery Hotel. On July 13, 2020 she died of bilateral pneumonia. She was 21.
The event’s participants also remembered scientific teachers who died this summer.
On July 15 by Presidential Decree of Sooronbay Jeenbekov, Myrzabekova has been awarded the Erdik Medal (posthumously) for her voluntary selfless work and contribution to the fight against COVID-19 coronavirus infection.
