Bishkek, Apr. 17, 2020. /Kabar/. A charter flight from Turkey’s Istanbul with Kyrgyz citizens on board was met at Manas International Airport on Apr.17, the press service of the Republican Headquarters for Preventing Import and Further Spread of Coronavirus Infection in the Kyrgyz Republic said.
"For the safety of all passengers, they have been served on the platform of the airport and sent for examination," the report reads.
In total, 211 citizens of Kyrgyzstan have arrived on Istanbul-Bishkek-Istanbul flight.
This flight was organized in cooperation with the Turkish side.
On Apr.16, 2020, a videoconference was held between Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov and Turkey Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, during which they discussed the organization of charter flights for the mutual evacuation of citizens of both countries.
