Bishkek, March 26, 2018 / Kabar /. Since 2010, 214 Chinese citizens have received the Kyrgyz citizenship, 129 of which are ethnic Kyrgyz, the press service of the State Registration Service (SRS) of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The SRS refuted the media report that thousands of Chinese citizens were granted Kyrgyz citizenship.
By the appropriate decrees of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic the citizenship of Kyrgyzstan in the period from 2010 to 2017 were granted to 214 citizens of the People's Republic of China. 129 of them were ethnic Kyrgyz.
In 2010, 21 citizens of the People's Republic of China got the citizenship of Kyrgyzstan. Of these, 7 are ethnic Kyrgyz. In 2011, out of 26 Chinese citizens, who received Kyrgyz citizenship, 11 are ethnic Kyrgyz.
The SRS also refuted the information that about registration of marriages of 30 thousand Chinese citizens with Kyrgyz citizens. According to data of the SRS, over the past 17 years, 195 marriages have been registered with Chinese citizens.
