Bishkek, Oct. 18, 2018. /Kabar/. 22 decisions are expected to be taken in the framework of the 33rd meeting of the Council of the Regional Antiterrorism Structure of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO RATS), Deputy Chairman of the State National Security Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, Director of the Anti-Terrorist Center Asylbek Kozhobekov stated during an extended meeting.
He said that the Kyrgyz Republic highly appreciates the activities of the SCO RATS, considering it as an important mechanism in ensuring peace and stability in the cooperation space.
“Effective work is being done within the SCO RATS, on the basis of mutual trust between the special services of the countries of the region, to maintain collective security and strengthen friendship and good neighborliness. Over the past years, the structure has done a lot of work on achieving the goals set in a series of counteraction against the forces of three evils. Normative-legal acts governing our interaction have been developed and adopted,” he said.
In addition, Kozhobekov added that the competent authorities of the SCO member states ensured proper exchange of information on the activities of the so-called ISIL, Jabhat al-Nusra, Hizb ut-Tahrir, and others.
