223 settlements in Kyrgyzstan not covered by bus service

Bishkek, Dec.5, 2019. /Kabar/. In Kyrgyzstan, 223 settlements are not covered by bus service, Head of the Transport Regulation and Licensing Department of the Road Transport Agency under the Ministry of Transport of the Kyrgyz Republic Talant Nanayev said at the press conference at Kabar News Agency.

He said there are 1829 settlements in the republic.

"1606 settlements are covered by bus service, 223- not covered. There are several reasons -for example the mismatch of the road and unprofitability," he said.

According to Nanayev’s data, there are 26 international bus services.

"For example, 4 buses have been suspended from the Chinese side, and one has recently been restored. International bus services are provided by 20 road transport companies. There are 230 carriers, which are mostly They are mostly private," he added.
