225 new COVID-19 cases recorded in Uzbekistan, 7,725 in total

Bishkek, June 28, 2020. /Kabar/. Uzbekistan confirmed on Sunday 225 new cases of coronavirus infection.

Also, 202 recoveries from COVID-19 were registered in the republic in the past day, the press service of the Health Ministry said.

Uzbekistan has extended quarantine until Aug.1, and restrictions and rules on quarantine measures are in force in all regions. Since June 1, a number of activities have been allowed, depending on quarantine levels - "red" (high), "yellow" (medium) and "green" (low).

Passengers coming from countries with poor sanitary and epidemiological situation were allowed to quarantine the hotel at their own expense. Private clinics were allowed to conduct coronavirus tests.

Uzbekistan's total number of coronavirus cases has climbed to 7,725.

5,240 of them (67%) have recovered, and 20 patients have died.

2,465 people are undergoing treatment. Of these, 19 patients' condition assessed as serious, and six of them are in extremely serious.
