Bishkek, July 30, 2021 . / Kabar / . Another 226 thousand doses of AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine will arrive in Kyrgyzstan in the next few days, Director of the Republican Immunoprophylaxis Center for Gulbara Ishenapysova said during a briefing on Friday.
The vaccine will be distributed to all regions of the country. Priority categories of citizens will be the first to get vaccinated. These are people over 60 years old, people with chronic diseases, etc. Vaccination will be voluntary and free of charge.
Ishenapysova noted that the distribution will be as follows: Bishkek - 30 thousand doses, Osh city - 10 thousand, Chui Oblast - 30 thousand, Talas Oblast - 12 thousand, Batken Oblast - 12 thousand, Osh Oblast - 50 thousand doses, Jalal-Abad Oblast - 50 thousand, Issyk-Kul Oblast - 20 thousand.
"The vaccine has passed all stages of clinical trials. It was approved by the WHO and included in the list for use during emergencies," the specialist added.
