Bishkek, July 26, 2024 . / Kabar / . The 22nd meeting of Prosecutors General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries ended at the Ala-Archa state residence.
In his speech, Prosecutor General of Kyrgyzstan Maksat Asanaliev noted that meeting was dedicated to an extremely relevant and important topic - "The role of the prosecutor's office in the modern world and the era of digitalization: the experience of the SCO countries in countering new threats and ensuring human rights".
"This topic reflects the current challenges and opportunities facing the prosecutor's offices of our countries in the context of rapid technological progress," he said.
Asanaliev also stressed that sharing experience and knowledge at the event will help supervisory authorities not only understand but also effectively respond to the complexities generated by new technologies and digitalization.
During the event, prosecutors general of all SCO member states summarized the results of the meeting and signed a protocol of the meeting, which reflects the main directions of further cooperation.
The signed protocol includes agreed measures to strengthen cooperation between the Prosecutor Generals' Offices of the SCO countries, as well as strategies to improve law and order and security in the region.
The Islamic Republic of Pakistan took over the chairmanship of the next meeting of the SCO Prosecutors General.
