24 Kyrgyz citizens returned from Thailand and Cambodia

Bishkek, May 3, 2020 / Kabar /. 24 citizens from Thailand and Cambodia were returned to Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said.

As part of the implementation of the tasks set by the head of state to return Kyrgyz citizens from foreign countries under closed borders and to suspension of international passenger air traffic in connection with the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world, on May 2, 2020, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic worked out a return of 24 citizens of Kyrgyzstan from Thailand and Cambodia, the report said.

These citizens arrived in Shymkent (Kazakhstan) by a commercial charter flight of Kazakhstan airline, and further were brought to Bishkek by special transport accompanied by a health officer of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Currently, all arrived citizens are placed under observation in one of the medical institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Foreign Ministry noted.

The search for possible routes for the return of Kyrgyz citizens who are in foreign countries is ongoing with partner countries.
