25 buses arrived in Bishkek from China

Bishkek, Aug. 14, 2023. /Kabar/. 25 buses from China arrived in Bishkek, the mayor's office of the capital city reported.

The new transport was met by Acting Deputy Mayor of the capital Maksatbek Sazykulov, Director of the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of the Bishkek Mayor's Office.

It is expected that the first batch of 500 units will be delivered in stages during the current year, the next - in 2024. In total, more than 1,000 modern, environmentally friendly buses will arrive in Kyrgyzstan to solve the transport issues of the capital.

On May 20, President Sadyr Zhaparov visited the Zhongtong bus holding Co., Lt bus manufacturing plant as part of a state visit to China.

Earlier, a batch of 120 buses with a gas engine was purchased from this enterprise for Bishkek. They were successfully tested on our roads, in connection with which a decision was made to purchase another 1,000 buses of this brand at the expense of budgetary funds, which will be delivered to the capital, the Bishkek Mayor's Office said.
