Bishkek, Feb. 20, 2024. /Kabar/. A project will be implemented in 25 villages of Batken region aimed at improving the supply of irrigation and clean drinking water.
The implementation of this project was discussed in the building of the regional administration of the Batken region. The meeting was attended by representatives of the international organization Mercy Corps, representatives of the Batken regional administration, a deputy of the Kyrgyz Parliament and other local authorities.
This project will cover 25 villages in the Batken and Leilek districts, which will help improve economic indicators by improving village residents’ access to irrigation and drinking water, water supply and sewerage infrastructure for social facilities, installing water filtration systems, and reducing the incidence of water-borne infections.
