250 children are to be adopted in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Nov. 25, 2019. / Kabar /. 250 children are to be adopted in Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Aliza Soltonbekova told at Kabar News Agency on Monday.

She explained that this number of children is currently listed in the database for adoption, as well as 300 candidates for adoption.

“This year there were 7 international adoptions, in 2014 - 105. On average, up to 1 thousand children adopted annually, this year about 900 cases,” said Aliza Soltonbekova.

She also added that there are 21 children who need to be brought from Russia and Kazakhstan - from the beginning of this year 7 children were brought.

The deputy minister once again noted the importance and effectiveness of the practice of foster families, where today 46 children live. Recall that staying in such families is temporary. In addition to payments for the maintenance of a child in the amount of KGS 6 thousand ( about USD 85), parents receive a salary of KGS 6 thousand.

It should be noted that the adoption procedure for foreigners remains more complicated, since its necessary to go through several courts to get permission.
