Bishkek, May 8, 2024. /Kabar/. There are 26 veterans of the Great Patriotic War living in Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration reported.
Among them are three disabled people and 18 WWII participants, 8 former concentration camp prisoners and 10 Leningrad siege survivors.
By region, the number of WWII veterans in Kyrgyzstan is as follows:
in Bishkek – 9,
in Chui region – 4,
in Issyk-Kul region – 5,
in Naryn region – 2,
in Osh city – 1,
in Jalal-Abad region – 5.
There are also 552 home front workers living in the country: 86 with disabilities receive compensation in the amount of 2 thousand soms per month, the rest - 1 thousand soms.
The above categories are also provided with one-time payments from the republican budget, which are paid by the ministry.
Veterans of the Great Patriotic War will receive 20 thousand soms, home front workers awarded for valiant work and widows of those killed during the war will receive 15 thousand soms.
