Bishkek, June 3, 2021 . / Kabar / . In Kyrgyzstan, 28 people drowned since the beginning of the year, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations of the republic Urmatbek Shamyrkanov told during a briefing Thursday.
He added 12 men, 2 women, 9 children under 12 and 5 teenagers drowned.
"19 cases were recorded in the same period of 2020. Of these, 12 were men, one woman, five children under the age of 12 and one teenager," the deputy minister said.
Shamyrkanov urged parents and school teachers to instruct children on safe bathing rules.
