Bishkek, July 28, 2021 . / Kabar / . 3 thousand 396 road accidents occurred in Kyrgyzstan in six months, in which 329 people were killed and over 5 thousand citizens were injured, head of the Main Department for Road Safety of the Kyrgyz Internal Ministry Azamat Israilov said on air of Birinchi Radio.
There was an increase in all indicators of traffic accidents compared to the same period last year.
"The number of accidents increased by almost 40%, the number of victims by a quarter and those injured by more than 41%. Road accidents are caused by several factors - 85% of accidents are caused by human error, neglecting traffic rules and recklessness on the road," the head of the department said.
Azamat Israilov stressed the need to strengthen work on driver staff training.
