3,585 citizens abroad voted so far: Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry

Bishkek, Oct. 4, 2020. /Kabar/. 3 thousand 585 citizens of Kyrgyzstan abroad have voted in the elections of deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign ministry reported Sunday.

As of 2:00 p.m. Bishkek time, precinct election commissions had opened in the Russian Federation, Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia, India, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Belarus, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Ukraine, Germany, Austria, Italy, France and Great Britain.

Citizens of Kyrgyzstan, who are on consular registration are also taking part in voting after having passed biometric registration and including in the final voter lists.

Voting is held in accordance with the established procedure, in accordance with the current legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the necessary sanitary and epidemiological standards.
